I’m a Chicago based lifestyle and travel blogger. My lifestyle revolves around living with Hashimoto’s and learning ways to manage my symptoms. I was first diagnosed with hypothyroidism at the age of 16. What I thought was a temporary diagnosis, developed into a lifelong thyroid auto-immune disease. Since then, my husband Stephen and I began swapping out endocrine disrupting products for cleaner alternatives in food, clothing, beauty and cleaning products.
My passion to travel sparked from my first mission trip that took me to the mountainous villages of China. This was where God had planted a seed in my heart to serve, travel and teach!
Today, I’m a high school teacher and I enjoy traveling at any opportunity I can when I’m not in the classroom. My philosophy is to learn from the world and teach from the heart. I aspire to inspire my students through personal travel experiences and creating memorable learning opportunities beyond the classroom walls.
Outside of that, you’ll find my husband and I fellowshipping with our communities. We love to host game nights with cozy home cooked meals, plan our next travel destination or research new ways to live a low toxicity lifestyle.
